Does Acupuncture Hurt?
Everyone has different levels of sensitivity. In general, acupuncture needles do not hurt. They are much thinner than those used for injections. The most common sensation is a slight soreness where a needle is inserted, followed by a deep release and relaxation. However, sensitive individuals may experience a slight pinch or mild discomfort for more tender areas.

"If at all possible, before you take medications, ask your doctor to refer you for acupuncture and/or cupping at East 2 West. I've tried it. It works. I got my husband to try it. It worked for him. It's more worth it to try acupuncture than drown yourself in pills.
After my first session, I felt really good. Like magic, the pain subsided and I went home for a nap. I was skeptical about how long the relief would last since nothing else had worked. I was very pleased and felt great and somewhat intrigued to understand how these procedures work. I couldn't wait to go back for my next session. I have a lot of faith in these techniques and I'm grateful and thankful for East 2 West for improving my quality of life." -Kiki T. on Yelp
